Palestine Development and Investment Company (PADICO) disclosed its preliminary consolidated financial results (unaudited) for the year 2025, reporting profits attributable to the Company’s shareholders of USD 18.4 million, compared to profits of USD 0.7 million for the fiscal year 2024. The results for 2024 were affected by the recognition of exceptional losses amounting to USD 12.4 million, resulting from additional provisions recorded by certain subsidiary and affiliate companies against impaired assets in the Gaza Strip
Despite the continued economic and political challenges, subsidiary and affiliate companies achieved a recovery during 2025 that was reflected in PADICO’s financial performance, particularly in the telecommunications and information technology sector and the agricultural sector. PADICO’s share of the results of Palestine Telecommunications Company increased by USD 4.5 million, while its share of the results of Nakheel Palestine increased by USD 1.1 million. Consolidated assets amounted to USD 715 million at the end of 2025, shareholders’ equity increased from USD 338 million to USD 483 million, and the book value per share reached USD 1.93.
Commenting on the results, Chairman of the Board Bashar Masri stated:
“During 2025, PADICO undertook strategic steps that included the restructuring of the Company’s bonds and the sale of shares owned by its subsidiary companies, in addition to selling its stake in Palestine Industrial Investment Company.” He noted that these steps played a key role in strengthening the Company’s financial position, reducing its indebtedness, and providing cash liquidity to enhance its investment portfolio.
Masri added: “We addressed the challenges of this difficult period with flexibility through the hedging and risk management policies we adopted during the period of aggression, which had a positive impact on PADICO’s profitability in 2025. Despite these challenging circumstances, we continued to invest in existing and new projects with total investments exceeding USD 45 million.”
He further affirmed that PADICO’s future focus will be on investing in the Gaza Strip once appropriate conditions are in place, adding: “With the confidence of our shareholders and the dedication of our teams, we are moving forward toward a new phase of development and growth.”
It is worth noting that Palestine Development and Investment Company (PADICO) is a public shareholding company that invests in key economic sectors in Palestine, including telecommunications and information technology, real estate, financial services, agriculture, tourism, infrastructure, and energy.
